The eleven-year-old gallery LEE & BAE was founded in Haeundae, Busan, Korea in 2010. Located by the Suyeong River, the gallery boasts a  beautiful landscape and has a 430-square meter exhibition space, where new exhibitions of different themes are presented every two months. Since its founding, the primary mission of the gallery has been to promote academic research and exhibitions of Korean contemporary art. Over the years, international exhibition exchange also developed into one of the main objectives of the gallery. LEE & BAE promotes both established and emerging Korean contemporary artists, thus focusing on exploring the identity of Korean contemporary art and the social aspects of visual art. The gallery also works with artists it represents to organize curated exhibitions and plan academic exchanges.
