GALLERY2

GALLERY2

Since its establishment in 2007, GALLERY2 has been introducing a diverse range of Korean contemporary art in many genres. GALLERY2 places importance on solid relationships and partnerships between the gallery and artists, thereby working in close cooperation with them to find ways to sustain their creative practice. Above of all, GALLERY2 believes that its role is to seek commercial possibilities for valuable artworks and help the art scene in Korea maintain its diversity.

GALLERY2 currently runs two spaces, one in Pyeongchang-dong and another in Jeju. The Pyeongchang-dong space presents current works of artists of any age and genre, mainly through solo exhibitions. GALLERY2 JOONGSUN NONGWON in Nature on Jeju Island exhibits the art of major established artists in Korea. Each space serves a different purpose, but they both strive to introduce various artwork within their given scopes.

GALLERY2 builds and fosters balanced gallery-artist partnerships rather than focusing on making short-term achievements or following the current trend. The gallery ensures that the gallery and the artists it represents inspire one another in positive ways, and demonstrates its belief through exhibitions. GALLERY2 positively accepts changes, maintains ongoing partnerships with artists, and constantly strives to engage with more artists.
